12 Months of Unforgettable Sporting Moments

A look back at the biggest events, boldest rivalries, and premium experiences from the world of sport.

At Impulse Decisions, the past 12 months have taken our guests from Championship golf courses to Grand Prix gridlines, sold-out stadiums to hospitality spaces buzzing long after the final whistle. From iconic rivalries to bucket-list travel, 2025 has proven once again that live sport isn’t just watched – it’s felt, shared, and remembered.

Let’s take a month-by-month journey through the standout sporting events that defined the year…

January – La Manga Padel Trip

Padel brought movement, learning and sunshine to the start of the year. Guests enjoyed structured coaching, fast-paced rallies and downtime in a world-class sporting resort.

One group summed it up perfectly:

“This was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. The perfect balance of activity, learning and relaxation… coaches were extremely professional, and the hotel was fabulous. Highly recommend.”

Padel ignited the action — hospitality made it a holiday to go down in family history.

February – Six Nations: Ireland vs England

One of the most electric fixtures in international rugby did not disappoint. The Ireland vs England clash delivered on all fronts with an incredible atmosphere, passionate rivalry and heart-stopping moments in the Six Nations Championship. A battle of grit and national pride, this match set the tone for an unforgettable month of sport.

Ireland ultimately claimed the win, 27-22, but the experience started far earlier for our guests who enjoyed an exclusive private dinner at Fade Street Social where Irish legend Brian O’Driscoll regaled stories from his playing days and insight into the big game.

March – Valderrama Golf Trip

Valderrama, host of the Ryder Cup and more recently Liv Golf was the host venue of our first Golf Experience of 2025. Guests were treated like members for the day and even shared the practice facilities with Martin Kaymer during the day. Along with Valderrama guests also played Finca Cortesin, home to the 2023 Solheim Cup and during the evening they stayed at the 5* SO Sotogrande Resort

One guest said:

“Valderrama was a bucket list ticker — and it was as amazing as expected. A superbly organised trip, full of friendly brilliant people.”

April – The Masters

Rory McIlroy electrified the Patrons as he finally took home the coveted Green Jacket and completed the Career Grand Slam with victory at Augusta National.

Our guests found themselves immersed in the truly unique theatre of Augusta National, with roars aplenty across the course as the momentum changed throughout the day. At one point it looked like Rory had an unassailable lead only for the pressure to consume him before he showed incredible fortitude and resilience to close out a memorable play off victory against Ryder Cup team mate Justin Rose. A thrilling conclusion to a once in a lifetime week on and off the course for our guests.

May – Monaco Grand Prix

Lando Norris stood atop the podium at the iconic Monaco Grand Prix – a moment guests took in from the premium grandstands and trackside hospitality. The race is just a part of the Monaco experience as guests enjoyed a Champagne Cruise along the french riviera and stayed in luxury at the 5* JW Marriott Cannes alongside Hollywood A-Listers in attendance for the Cannes Film Festival.

“A huge thank you for a superb weekend in Monaco / Côte d’Azur. Brilliantly organised and wonderfully hosted. We’ll definitely be back!”

June – Royal Ascot

One of the Worlds premier Horse Racing meets, Royal Ascot served up World Class action on and off the course – Trawlerman claimed victory in the Gold Cup with a track record, but the real shock came from 200-1 winner Powerful Glory who took home the British Champion Sprint Stakes.

For one group enjoying hospitality in the Queen Anne Enclosure:

“We had such a fantastic time at the races in the Queen Anne hospitality enclosure! Thanks so much for everything!”

Royal Ascot

July – Wimbledon

2025 saw another thriller in the latest classic between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz with Sinner emerging victorious and adding another footnote in this burgeoning rivalry. Our guests in debenture seating watched all the action unfold from the best seats in the house and access to exclusive lounges, impeccable service, and that undeniable court-side electricity only Wimbledon can deliver.

From centre court debenture:

“A wonderful day on centre court, lead-up superbly managed, seats exceptional and debenture facilities made it unforgettable.”

August – England vs India Cricket

At Headingley, guests were privileged to watch another thrilling Test Match as England chased down 373 to win the Test which saw 7 hundreds and a stunning 99 from Yorkshire’s own Harry Brook. Whether in the Presidents or Howard Suite, guests enjoyed a fantastic day of hospitality as they took in the cricket from the best seats in the ground.

September – Italian Grand Prix

Max Verstappen kept his title hopes alive with a superb drive around the iconic Monza Autodrome. Staying at the 5* ME Milan Il Duca, Impulse guests enjoyed an exclusive welcome drinks reception overlooking the city of Milan followed by two days of thrilling on track action at the Temple of Speed where Lewis Hamilton donned the red of Ferrari at the home of Ferrari for the first time.

October – Old Head & Turnberry Golf Experience

Where nature meets championship drama. Our guests played two of the most cinematic and bucket list courses in the world – Atlantic spray and cliffside wind at Old Head, iconic coast-side greens at Turnberry, both combined with superb off course hospitality at the 5* Fota Island and Turnberry Golf Resorts. A fully hosted experience which will be replicated in 2026 at Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.

November – Eubank vs Benn

The build-up to the fight was palpable and, the tension in the air, the storytelling of sporting heritage hard to overlook. Legacy, anticipation, drama… one headline result: Conor Benn won the rematch to settle the score once and for all.

Hosted in the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the hospitality lived up to the action in the ring at a venue fitting for such an occasion.

December – Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

The 2025 sporting calendar closed in historic fashion under the floodlights of Yas Marina as Formula 1 crowned a brand-new World Champion. In the season finale, Lando Norris delivered a composed, championship-winning drive to secure his first Formula 1 World Championship.

Our guests experienced the weekend from premium hospitality suites overlooking the circuit, fully immersed in the intensity of the title decider. From the tension on the starting grid to the final laps that sealed Norris’ place in history, the atmosphere was electric throughout. As the chequered flag fell and celebrations erupted across Yas Marina.

A fitting full stop to a year defined by elite sport, unforgettable moments, and experiences that stayed with our guests long after the lights went out on the 2025 season.
