From Employee of the Quarter to the Aviva Stadium: Celebrating Guy’s Achievement

Employee Recognition; Guy Burroughs

A year ago, we named our Key Account Manager, Guy Burroughs, Employee of the Quarter for Q3 2024. As part of his well-deserved recognition, Guy recently enjoyed his long-awaited trip to Dublin this June –  to watch the British & Irish Lions take on Argentina at the iconic Aviva Stadium.

This trip was awarded to Guy in celebration of his consistent high performance since joining Impulse. His commitment and professionalism have been evident in his results. As well as the feedback from our clients, who regularly highlight the value he brings to their experience. As an employee-voted-award, the team recognised him for being focused, committed, approachable, detailed, and willing to work outside of 9-5:30!

When asked how he has demonstrated this, one employee said;

Guy has a calm, calculated and logical approach to managing our key accounts. Whether it’s having difficult conversations with clients, or providing detailed information to our teams internally, Guy approaches everything professionally and is incredibly thorough with every aspect of his work. He’s often the last one in the office, working late to ensure tasks are completed within the given time frames, ensuring clients receive the service that we promise! He’s also a bloody nice bloke.

Here’s what Guy has to say about his experience…

  • What was the highlight from your trip? The true highlight of my trip was spending quality time with my dad. He’s been taking me to rugby matches for as long as I can remember, so this felt like the perfect chance to return the favour. Sharing a weekend together was incredibly special. We explored Dublin’s landmarks, sampled the city’s restaurants and bars, and of course enjoyed the match itself, which was fantastic! Every part of the trip was memorable, but above all, it was the time spent with my dad that made the trip what it was.

  • What were your thoughts on the match? The match itself was incredible, being the first British & Irish Lions match ever played in Ireland, you could tell the crowd was alive with anticipation. It was a new experience for everyone. The crowd was full energy the entirety of the game, reacting to every tackle and break. The game was intense, and though not the result we wanted, witnessing such a historic occasion was unforgettable.

Thank you to my team for voting for me, and a special thanks to James for planning this incredible trip!
