At Impulse Decisions, we bring years of expertise in charity auction management, delivering live, silent, and online auctions that are tailored to your event’s needs. From sourcing exclusive and diverse auction lots to providing expert auctioneers and seamless event management, we ensure every detail is handled to maximise fundraising potential. With a transparent and guest-focused approach, our charity auctions consistently achieve exceptional results, turning generosity into meaningful contributions for your chosen cause.
Our silent auctions use a traditional sealed bid approach with printed brochures to minimise disruption and maximise funds raised. We provide each guest with a brochure showcasing auction items, which they can browse at their tables.
We also create a display in the entrance area, showcasing the prizes and enabling guests to speak to our staff about how to get involved and how to bid.
We provide a 12–16-page brochure showcasing auction lots for events, which are included as part of our complimentary silent auction package. Each brochure is customised to align with the event’s branding.
We also provide expert advice as to the layout, number of auction lots and memorabilia used below.
Layout/ Prize Placement
- We use a clear and logical layout that follows a categorised structure to make it easier to follow for the viewer.
- We use visual hierarchy and typography to pull key information to the reader’s attention such as titles and lot numbers.
- We use an easy-to-read format with thoughtful typography and spacing to improve readability, even under low light conditions.
- We also use feature lots to put emphasis on a particular package/package that may appeal more to the event audience.
Number of Auction Lots
- We recommend a sweet spot of between 50 & 75 auction items. This allows space for plenty of variety, giving enough options to cater for diverse interests without overwhelming bidders.
Experience/ Memorabilia
- On average, we would go with a 60/40 split between experiences and memorabilia. This allows us to balance the range of prizes on offer and cater for more people in the room. It allows us to ensure a variety of price ranges which in turn, maximises bidder interest.
- It also allows us to tailor the brochures to demographics and locations more as we can use memorabilia from sports teams/ people local to the events.
Will Clough Senior Graphic Designer added, “With 3 years of experience designing auction brochures, I’ve seen firsthand how thoughtful, strategic brochure design can help to boost fundraising results. From creating a clear layout that guides bidders to feature lots with eye-catching pull-outs, every design choice is made to maximise engagement. By carefully balancing prize numbers and curating a mix of enticing experiences and memorabilia, we ensure the brochure not only looks professional but also inspires competitive bidding – ultimately raising more funds for great causes.”
