Overview
Home to Aston Villa Football Club, Villa Park is one of England’s most historic and iconic football grounds. With a traditional four-stand bowl design, strong sightlines and the famous Holte End providing vocal support, Villa Park blends rich heritage with ongoing modernisation, including enhanced hospitality spaces and premium lounges to elevate the matchday experience. It’s built to handle big Premier League and European nights while still delivering a distinct atmosphere that reflects Villa’s passionate fanbase.
STADIUM AT A GLANCE
Stadium: Villa Park Stadium
Capacity: 36,887 for the 2026/27 season. Villa Park’s North Stand is closed all season for redevelopment, reducing capacity from a normal figure of around 44,000 — full capacity is expected to return, at an increased ~50,000+, for 2027/28.
Setting: Set within a residential and urban area of Birmingham, Villa Park’s four-stand bowl, with the iconic Holte End towering above the surrounding streets, creates an immersive, traditional matchday atmosphere with modern facilities woven throughout.
LOCATION
Villa Park is located in Witton in Birmingham’s West Midlands, just over two miles north of the city centre.
GETTING TO THE STADIUM
Aston Villa strongly encourages travelling by public transport on matchdays, with easy‑to‑walk rail connections and stewards directing crowds to the ground:
Nearest stations (walkable):
Witton Station – around 5 minutes’ walk from the stadium.
Aston Station – around 15 minutes’ walk, both served by frequent trains from Birmingham New Street.
Buses from Birmingham city centre also offer routes toward the ground; planning your journey in advance is recommended, as local roads are restricted on matchdays and parking is limited.
HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCES
Depending on the fixture and experience level you choose, options can include:
The Oak Room & Legends Lounge – premium dining experiences with inclusive drinks and hospitality service.
150 Club & Premium Lounges – padded seats with social space, brunch or sharing‑style food, and host interaction.
Executive Boxes and Suites – private, exclusive areas with pitch views, formal dining, and dedicated service.
WHAT YOUR HOSPITALITY PACKAGE TYPICALLY INCLUDES
Inclusions vary by package, but hospitality at Villa Park commonly features:
Premium padded match seating in designated hospitality sections.
Early access to lounges and hospitality spaces before general entry.
Lounge or restaurant access with a dedicated hospitality atmosphere.
Food and drink options ranging from light bites to full meals, with inclusive drinks in selected packages.
Complimentary matchday programme or memorabilia in some premium experiences.
ACCESSIBILITY
Aston Villa provides accessible facilities and support for visitors with access requirements at Villa Park, including wheelchair viewing platforms, step-free entrances, accessible toilets with RADAR locks, audio commentary headsets, sensory rooms on request and assistance dog provisions.
THINGS TO KNOW
Travel planning matters: matchday station access and local road controls can affect timings, so allow extra time.
Hospitality is the smoothest way to do matchday: earlier entry and lounge access make the whole experience feel more relaxed compared to general admission.
