The Ryder Cup is one of the most eagerly anticipated and thrilling events in not only golf but sport as a whole. The atmosphere created by fans is unlike any other golfing event, the team format fostering a unity among teams and a rivalry with the opposition.
In 2025 following Europe’s stunning victory last time out in Italy, they will travel to the bear pit that is Bethpage State Park, knowing they will be greeted by hostile home fans as they look to retain the trophy and win on US soil for the first time since the Miracle at Medinah.
Bethpage is synonymous with golf, having hosted both the US PGA and US Open, this will be its first time hosting the Ryder Cup. With local fans renowned for their raucous nature, this could work both for and against the home side depending on how the early matches pan out.
Located in New York, Bethpage is easily accessible via train from downtown New York, making it an ideal host venue for the golf by day and everything New York has to offer by night.
