Impulse Decisions have proudly supported Harrogate Pythons Rugby Union Football club for over 12 years with our free silent auction service. 

Our auction and fundraising services have played a crucial role in raising funds for the club, enabling them to provide pitch-side therapists during training sessions and matches, as well as maintain their treatment cabin.  

Here’s Will Clough, former Harrogate Pythons player and now Half-backs and Kicking Coach, sharing how our support has positively impacted the club and its players….  

 

Background and Introduction 

The partnership with Impulse Decisions started over 12years ago and was an easy decision! 

The silent auction service provided by Impulse is completely free of charge to the club and runs in the background of our events, allowing us to proceed without any alterations to the events plans and running order. It’s a simple and effective way of raising extra funds for the club. 

Over the years Impulse Decisions have not only provided their free silent auction services at the clubs annual dinner but have also supported the organisation of our annual golf day and contributed through player and kit sponsorship.  

 

 

Auction Service  

The auction service is extremely straightforward. As a club, all we need to provide is our branding – Impulse handles everything else! They create a professionally branded brochure that aligns with the artwork and branding of our events.  

The prize selection for the auction is tailored to suit our audience, featuring options such a hospitality packages for the Autumn Intenational’s or Six Nations, local dining experiences, holidays and a wide selection of memorabilia. One year they were able to utilise their networks to have one of our playing jerseys signed by Bryan Habana which we auctioned off on the night!  

On the evening, they have a fantastic team of people who fully manage the service, engage with guests answering any questions that people may have and also take payment for successful bids. All of this happens in the background of the event and has no impact on our running order or other activities that we have going on.  

Following the event, they provide us with a detailed breakdown of the auction and promptly transfer the funds raised to the club.  

 

Impact on the Club 

The funds raised through Impulse Decisions silent auction services have been a huge benefit to the maintenance and running of the club.  

They have allowed us to build and maintain our pitch side therapy cabin enabling us to provide the best possible medical care for our players on both training and match days. Player welfare is a top priority for us as a coaching team and as a club and its reassuring to know that we can now offer our players the best possible care. This not only aids injury prevention but also ensures that in the event of an injury players have access to physiotherapy and rehabilitation advice that they may not have had otherwise. 

In addition, the partnership has allowed us as coaches and players to regularly upgrade our equipment which has enhanced the training experience for all involved. 

 

Reflection and Future Goals
