Role: Office Manager 

What does your role involve at Impulse Decisions?

It varies so much from day to day – I provide hands on support to each department when needed to assist in smooth running of the business, look after all the HR elements and ensure that everyone has the tools to be able to do their job efficiently, that might be anything from a new chair to assisting them to find a learning course to develop their knowledge. I also get involved in the social planning for the team which is a nice element to the role!

What did you do before you joined the team?

I was working as Executive Assistant to MD at an ironmongery company, very different industry but not too far removed from the role I do at Impulse now. Prior to that I worked here at Impulse from 2015-2020! I started part time in the bookings team and progressed my way to Office Manager.

What is your favourite part of the job?

I think the fact that everyday comes with something different or unexpected I have to constantly adapt and use different areas of brain so I don’t ever feel like I’m getting bored!

If you weren’t doing this role, what else would you like to do?

Very good question and one I have be asked before although never have an exact answer, I really enjoy listening to people and help them talk through their struggles or pain points so I think I would enjoy being a therapist or life coach!

Which events are you looking forward to the most in the next 6mths?

Event internally – sports day, I love seeing everyone involved in some team building and fitness – lots of laughs, friendly competition and fresh air!

Who would you most like to involve in an event?

I mean I love to get all my family and friend involved in working them if that counts haha

Who would you most like to have a drink with and why?

Oh I don’t really know, I guess your looking for celebrities but I’m not really one to follow them… I guess it would be pretty cool to meet Pink or Rebel Wilson. Both very strong women who have had some trying times in life but have absolutely pushed through those barriers to create their own success.
