Meet the Impulse team – Mollie
Name: Mollie Naylor
Role: Finance Assistant
What does your role involve at Impulse Decisions?
My role involves preparing all sales invoices and credit notes for events the company hosts and any direct sales the company makes. I also deal with and resolve any financial and bookings queries. I keep all our databases up to date with payments received and keep track of all our event paperwork, making sure it’s all filed correctly.
What did you do before you joined the team?
Before I joined Impulse, I was a hard landscaper – very different to what I do now! I was part of a small landscaping team who did a variety of landscaping jobs for customers such as, laying new patios, building retaining walls, installing new fences and gates, and cutting back hedges and mowing lawns. It was so much fun working outside in the sun but would get less fun in the pouring rain when you are covered head-to-toe in mud and cement!!
What is your favourite part of the job?
My favourite part of the job is when I get all the outstanding payments in for an event so the charity can receive the full amount of the donations made. It makes me feel proud I helped achieve that! I even enjoy filing the event paperwork – I listen to my music and get into a proper rhythm with it all!
If you weren’t doing this role, what else would you like to do?
Within Impulse, I would like to do a role working on the charity auction events we do, I got a taster of what one of our auctions were like recently at Berry’s Tennis and really enjoyed it!
Outside of Impulse, I would love to travel the world and help plan for and predict natural disasters, such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and tsunamis, reducing the damage to people and the environment they cause.
Which events are you looking forward to the most in the next 6mths?
I am looking forward to all the Halloween and Christmas events, I love the spookiness of Halloween – everyone getting dressed up and I also love feeling festive – seeing all the Christmas lights on everywhere!
Who would you most like to involve in an event?
Elton John – I just think he would be so much fun and of course his incredible outfits and voice wouldn’t go amiss! It would be a dream come true watching him perform live and an event to remember!
Who would you most like to have a drink with and why?
I would most like to have a drink with Maya Jama. She has such an amazing personality and is so funny; I just love her entire energy – not to mention she is absolutely stunning!!
She is always true to herself; never changes to please anyone, and I love that.
