I feel very lucky to be able to say that my first Monaco Grand Prix was spent working with the Impulse Decisions team, hosting guests across one of the most iconic weekends in the sporting calendar.
It is one of those events you hear so much about, but nothing quite prepares you for experiencing it properly. The atmosphere, the setting, the glamour, the racing, the yachts, the views – everything about Monaco during Grand Prix weekend feels so exciting and completely unique.
As it was my first year attending and hosting clients at the event, I wanted to take everything in, while also making sure our guests felt completely looked after from the moment they arrived. It was a busy few days, but in the best possible way.
Staying in Cannes
Both our guests and the Impulse Decisions team stayed at the beautiful JW Marriott Cannes, which was such a lovely base for the weekend.
Set right on the waterfront, the hotel has everything you would want from a 5-star stay in Cannes. After busy days hosting and travelling between Cannes and Monaco, it was a lovely place to return to and reset before the next part of the trip. The rooms were spacious and contemporary, and being based on the waterfront meant we were perfectly placed to enjoy Cannes, with restaurants, shops and the seafront all within easy reach.
Staying at the same hotel as our guests also made a real difference. It meant we were always nearby if anyone needed anything, and it helped create a really friendly, relaxed atmosphere throughout the trip.
Champagne Boat Cruise on the French Riviera
One of my favourite parts of the weekend was the champagne boat cruise along the French Riviera.
It was such a special way to start the experience. The views along the coastline were absolutely stunning, and it was lovely to see everyone settling into the weekend, chatting, laughing and enjoying a glass of champagne in the sunshine.
For me, this was one of those moments where I really thought, “Wow, this is an amazing event to be part of.”
It also gave us a great opportunity to spend time with guests in a more relaxed setting. Getting to know people properly is such an important part of hosting, and it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves before the excitement of race day.
One of the nicest moments from the trip was seeing two couples get to know each other over the weekend. One couple had a helicopter transfer booked and realised they had some extra space, so they invited the other couple to join them. What made it even more special was that they said someone had done the same for them when they attended the event in a previous year, so it felt lovely for them to be able to pass that experience on.
It was such a simple gesture, but it really stood out to me. It showed how these trips are not only about the event itself, but also about the people you meet and the memories you create along the way.
Race Weekend in Monaco
Monaco during Grand Prix weekend is honestly something else.
There is such a buzz everywhere you go. The streets are full, the harbour looks incredible, and then you hear the sound of the cars and remember you are right in the middle of one of the most famous races in the world.
As a team, our main priority was making sure everything felt seamless for our guests. That meant helping with timings, sharing information, answering questions, being available throughout the weekend and making sure everyone knew where they needed to be.
I was working alongside Ross, Aimee and Luke, and it really was a team effort from start to finish. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes at an event like this, but when you see guests smiling, enjoying themselves and making the most of every moment, it makes all the planning and organisation completely worth it.

Showcasing Our New App
This trip was also exciting for another reason, as it was the first event where we showcased our new Impulse Decisions app.
The app was created to help make the guest experience even smoother, with key information, updates and a countdown to the event all in one place. It was brilliant to see guests using it throughout the weekend and engaging with it so positively.

Communication is such a big part of making a hospitality experience feel effortless, so it was great to see the app adding real value for our guests. It helped keep everyone informed, while also building the excitement in the run-up to the event.
A Weekend I Will Not Forget
My first Monaco Grand Prix with Impulse Decisions is definitely a weekend I will not forget.
From staying in Cannes and cruising along the French Riviera, to experiencing the atmosphere of Monaco on race weekend, every part of the trip felt special. It was glamorous, exciting and fast-paced, but also really personal because of the guests we were hosting and the time we spent with them.
For me, the biggest takeaway was how much these experiences mean to people. It is not just about attending an incredible event. It is about the memories guests take away, the people they share them with and the small details that make the whole weekend feel effortless.
Seeing guests not only enjoy the experience, but also share it with each other, was one of the loveliest parts of the trip. Moments like the helicopter transfer really captured the spirit of the weekend – generous, memorable and full of those little stories that people will talk about long after they get home.
I loved being part of the team for such a successful trip, and I am already looking forward to the next one.
