Our Highlights from the World Travel Market in London!

Last week, Ross Bousfield, our Head of Sport, along with Freya Crosby-Close, Experiences and Bookings Manager and Bogumila Glonekova Experiences and Bookings Assistant, attended the prestigious World Travel Market (WTM) at the iconic ExCeL London.

The World Travel Market stands as one of the most significant events in the travel and tourism industry, bringing together the global leisure travel community.

At Impulse Decisions, we’re committed to fostering both personal and professional growth while staying at the forefront of industry trends. This dedication ensures that both our experiences and those of our clients are exceptional in every way.

Over to the team to tell us more …..

Why the World Travel Market?

The WTM is an event I was already aware of so when the opportunity arose to attend this year I jumped at it.

I have been to many conventions and trade shows before but WTM is on another level. With exhibitors from all over the world and from different industries, there was a real buzz and vibrancy throughout the day.

Key Highlights

There were some fantastic stands put together by various destinations, particular highlights being Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Brazil and Turkey. Local performers in traditional attire added a captivating touch, drawing visitors in to explore their offerings.

I went with the intention of meeting some suppliers and partners in person for the first time which was great, but there were also plenty of exhibitors I was able to connect with whom I can foresee Impulse collaborating with on future experiences.

Industry Insights

The need to stay current when it comes to Tech was apparent. There were more exhibitors in this area than I had expected. It was both eye opening and exciting to see where we can take our service offering for our clients.

In addition, its clear to see the challenges within travel are constantly changing and here at Impulse Decisions we need to be able to adapt accordingly. But what was more exciting was the opportunity. There are so many destinations and experiences out there, it was great to speak to prospective partners about how we can work together to provide new, bespoke and inspiring experiences.

A standout moment was our meeting with an app developer, sparking the exciting prospect of providing Impulse clients with a seamless, end-to-end experience through a dedicated app. Gaining firsthand insight into the tech solutions behind this concept was truly insightful.

Inspirational moments

There were plenty of personal inspiration making me want to travel more!

As mentioned, the inspiration I took away was the endless possibilities for Impulse in terms of both the experiences themselves and the opportunity with tech to further enhance delivery of our trips and the customer experience.

We’re keeping an eye on some exciting new destinations, including Sabah, Oman, and Rwanda! Stay tuned for more updates.
