This summer, Impulse Decisions is excited to present its first Skylit Drive-In Cinema experience in Harrogate!

We wanted to support some local businesses that have been particularly hard hit over the past few months, whilst also creating a safe family activity in Yorkshire for people to attend when there is not a lot going on. Our first open air cinema event will be held at Harrogate RUFC, which is the perfect, spacious venue for a family-friendly, socially distanced afternoon or evening.

The screenings will be running over the August Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th. We will be showing the following films, Grease, Rocketman, Incredibles 2, Dirty Dancing and Back to the Future. So, whether you’re looking for a fun family activity during the day or an exciting new way to get your weekly film fix, Skylit Drive-In Cinema is perfect for everyone.

Lockdown and social distancing have been a drag for most of us, so our Skylit Drive-In Cinema events will bring back some good old fashioned entertainment! Whilst social distancing will still be in place at our outdoor cinema event, our aim is to create a relaxed atmosphere where everyone can enjoy great movies from the comfort of their own car.

How Does it Work?

You’ll be able to ‘tune in’ to the film’s sound using your cars’ FM transmission, so you can listen straight through your vehicle’s radio, while a top of the range 10 metre by 6 metre LED screen will provide a fantastic visual experience (just make sure you’ve got enough screen wash for a clean windscreen!). Guests will also have the chance to order a range of food and drinks throughout the film to make it a proper drive-in cinema experience. The open air cinema event will be run within covid-safe guidelines current at the time, including toilets and hand wash stations that will be available for use.
