What’s New in 2025

  • Star power boosted. With no clash against Major League Cricket (MLC), top overseas players like Laura Wolvaardt and Amelia Kerr have joined via direct signings. Men’s top contracts rise to £200,000 and women’s to £65,000.
  • Structural evolution ahead. The 2025 season is the last under current ECB control. From 2026, private owners (including IPL investors) will take over franchise branding and operations, potentially ushering in a shift to standalone T20 format.

The Hundred 2025 is shaping up to be its most competitive yet: top‑flight venues like Lord’s, Edgbaston, Old Trafford and more; headline players and compelling rivalries, and a packed, action‑filled schedule from early August to the final weekend.
