From an early 6am meet-up to standing on the final summit, this weekend saw eight members of our team take on one of the UK’s most demanding endurance challenges — the National Three Peaks Challenge.
The challenge is simple on paper, but anything but simple in reality: climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales — Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon — one after another.
After months of preparation and plenty of anticipation, the team completed all three peaks in an incredible 25 hours and 6 minutes.
Three Peaks, One Huge Challenge
The National Three Peaks Challenge isn’t just about reaching three summits. It combines demanding climbs with hundreds of miles of travelling between each mountain, testing both physical and mental endurance.
Over the course of the challenge, the team covered approximately 23 miles on foot and more than 3,000 metres of ascent, all while dealing with tired legs, very little sleep and the pressure of keeping moving.
Starting with Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK, the team tackled their first major climb before heading south to take on Scafell Pike, England’s highest peak.
Then came the final leg of the challenge: Snowdon. By this point, fatigue had well and truly set in, but with the finish line getting closer, the team continued to push each other forward until all eight reached the final summit.
A True Team Effort
Challenges like this are as much about teamwork as they are individual endurance.
There were inevitably difficult moments along the way, but encouragement, determination and a shared goal kept everyone moving. From the first steps on Ben Nevis to the final climb, the team supported one another throughout.
Completing the challenge in 25 hours and 6 minutes was an incredible achievement and a brilliant demonstration of what can be accomplished when everyone works together.
An Experience to Remember
Twenty-three miles, three mountains, more than 3,000 metres of climbing and hundreds of miles on the road later, the challenge was complete.
There were tired legs, an early start and not nearly enough sleep – but every step was worth it.
A huge congratulations to James, Will, Dannielle, Tilly, Luke, Aimee, Josh and Mark for pushing themselves to the limit and completing one of the UK’s toughest endurance challenges.
Three mountains. One unforgettable challenge. An achievement to be incredibly proud of. ⛰️🥾👏💙
